APA
consists of over 1400 members, and exists to provide
an effective base of information as well as a constructive
forum of communication to preserve the integrity
and quality of our profession. We urge you to become

The Austin
Police Association is contracted with Cingular (currently
AT&T and GTE) enabling participating officers
to receive up to 4 cell phones and service at discounted
rates.
Cingular
plans to discontinue (sunset) its TDMA/Analog network
no later than February 2008. (TDMA and analog share
the same network in most cases.) Government regulations
require all wireless companies to keep their analog
networks in service until a prescribed date, currently
set at February 2008. Cingular's sunset timeline is
subject to change based on governmental regulation
changes or other factors.
