MDC Commands
This command brings up the log on form. You can still use the "FORMS" button and choose LN-MDT LOG ON to pull up the form….i.e..LN{transmit}.
This command is used to log a unit off-duty…i.e..LF{transmit}
Sends normal message to unit, employee number, or terminal..
i.e. MSG{space}H280, "Are you there?"or MSG{space}AP1649,"Are you there?"
Keep in mind that when you use employee number instead of unit number, the message goes to the Visinet personal mailbox of the officer regardless of whether or not they are logged on.
This command is used to send a high priority message. Use the above format to send high priority message. Use MSGH instead of MSG.
Queries the pending calls for the sector currently assigned…i.e. QP {transmit}….if you need to query another sector, you must enter the standard abbreviation for the sector you would like to see…i.e. QP{space}CHAR{transmit}.
This command is used to place yourself back in your home sector if you have been on a call outside of your home sector. Once you type AVLA and then transmit, you must then hit the F7 key to put yourself 10-8. This series of commands brings you back into the QU for your sector so that everyone who queries the units will see you.
This command is used to query the units in a particular sector. If you just want to see the units in your sector, you would use the following…QU{transmit}. The system will return a view of all the units within the controlling dispatch area you are currently assigned. Note: If you have left your sector to take a call in another sector, you must put yourself AVLA and then F7(see example above) in order to view your home sector units.

You can also view the units in another sector by using the following command….QU{space}BAKR{transmit}

This command is used to query the call history for the call you are on or for any other call…i.e…QCH{transmit} or QCH{space}041460987{transmit}.

Note: You must enter the entire incident number including the two digit year with no spaces or dashes between the numbers. Currently the system does not return the call history for a pending call. This issue has been brought to the attention of the vendor and they are working on it.

This command is used to query the unit status. When using this command you will see your current status. If you are currently on a call, it will display your current case number…i.e..QUS{transmit}. You can also query the status of another unit..i.e.. QUS{space}H280{transmit}. This command functions similarly to the QCH. Your return will show the status, employee number, vehicle driven, case #, and type of call.
This command is used to query the current call of any unit. It will bring the call history to your screen. If the unit is not on a call, it will return letting you know the unit is not currently on a call…i.e…QIH{transmit} or QIH{space}H280{transmit}.

Note: Supervisors can use this command to view the call details of a unit when a "Supervisor Notification" is sent to them. The vendor is currently working on getting all calls sent to the supervisors based on the "Sergeant Radio Name". When this happens, every call, regardless of it's priority, will be sent.
This command is used to view the most current unit history..
i.e…QUH{space}H280{transmit}.
This command is used to view the most recent calls taken at a location. The call type, case number, date, and time will be displayed..i.e…QPH{space}1600 E. Riverside Dr.{transmit}.
This command is used to add a comment to the call history of the call you are currently assigned. If you are not on a call, it adds the comment to your unit history…i.e...M{space}"Checked building and all is secure."

This command is used to enter a disposition code for the call your are assigned and then places you in-service…i.e. C{space}6{transmit}. Note: if you are simply 10-8 with no disposition such as a traffic stop, you would type C{space}8{transmit}.

This command is used to identify a unit who will be the primary unit responsible for the disposition of the call. The CAD automatically assigns the primary unit as the first unit dispatched. If you are the back-up unit and will now become the primary unit, you would simply type PR{transmit} and you will now become the primary unit.

Note: If you are the back-up and arrive first and then you code four, the primary unit can go in-service by typing C{space}8{transmit}. You will then become the primary unit and will get a notification telling you that the original primary unit has gone in-service.

This command is used to place yourself at a secondary location while still on a call. You must type the location….i.e..CL{space}1600 E. Riverside Dr.{transmit}.
This command is used to place yourself out on traffic. You must enter the license plate and location. The 2829 is automatically run when you transmit…i.e…TS{space}YRF123{,}1600 E. Riverside Dr{transmit}.

Note: You must type a comma after the license plate and you must enter the direction of the street before the name of the street…i.e. E. Riverside Dr. rather than Riverside Dr. E.
This command is used to place yourself on an officer initiated call. It creates the call with the problem nature and places you on-scene. You must enter the correct call type and the location …i.e…SITE{space}DGUN{,}1600 E. Riverside Dr{transmit}

Note: You must place a comma after the call type. If you do not enter the correct call type, you will get an error.
This command is used to create a call within CAD but does not assign the call to you. An example of this would be you are on your way to the jail with a prisoner and you are not able to stop to handle the call. The call will enter the Pending Calls Queue for the sector where the incident is occurring so that it can be dispatched to another unit…i.e…VIEW{space}DGUN{,}1600 E. Riverside Dr{transmit}

Note: A call will be generated but you will not be notified by MDC that it was created. You must enter a comma after the address.

Note: You must enter a comma after the address.
This command is used to put yourself enroute to the jail or other location. This function in CAD places you in a "Transport" status. When you get to your destination, you must let the dispatcher know over the radio that you have arrived. The dispatcher will manually put you "At Facility"….i.e..95{space}Gardner Betts.
This command is used to put yourself out on a subject stop. You must enter the location….i.e…SUBJ{space}1600 E. Riverside Dr.{transmit}

This command is used to set the final type on a call. Only one type can be entered. It should be the most serious offense or call type…i.e…ST{space}0500{transmit}.

Note: You will not receive a notification by MDC that the call type was set.

This command is used to put yourself 10-6 at a location or phone number…i.e…6{space}Main{transmit}
